Brillant Rues was created by sisters Larissa and Iris Cui, two California natives who grew up dreaming big and believing that creativity and family go hand in hand. While life eventually took them in different directions—Larissa to Texas and Iris remaining in California—their bond as sisters never changed.

For years, the two talked about creating something together. Between careers, families, and raising children, the idea stayed in the background… waiting for the right time. Now that their kids are grown and starting their own journeys, Larissa and Iris finally decided it was time to bring their long-standing dream to life.

That dream became Brillant Rues.

Inspired by their children’s love for anime, Japanese characters, and pop culture, the sisters wanted to build a shop that felt fun, welcoming, and full of personality. What started as conversations about collectibles and trendy finds quickly grew into a vision for a store that offers unique trinkets, clothing, accessories, and anime-inspired treasures for people of all ages and backgrounds.

Together, they combine their strengths in the best way sisters do. Larissa brings creativity, vision, and a passion for building meaningful experiences, while Iris brings a sharp analytical mind and a talent for solving problems. Known for her ability to dive into systems and fix what others miss, Iris has a knack for making things work smoothly behind the scenes.

Even though they now live in two different states, California and Texas, their shared vision connects everything they do. Brillant Rues reflects that blend of influences—coastal creativity and southern warmth—coming together in one place.
